Over the last two years Nigel has given his talk ‘The history of juggling and other manipulative miscellania’ to over 40 groups that include museum societies, womens groups and more. The talk is between 30 minutes and 60 minutes and gives an indication of the historic use of props commonly used in ‘carpet acts’ in the circus. The talk covers the growth in use of some equipment, some of the stories associated with particular props and provides a wide ranging cross-section of development around the world.
Each talk consists of Nigel both talking about the equipment and demonstrating much of it. More than 20 different types of equipment are used and the talk is given in Nigels humorous and friendly style.
Nigel is in the process of creating a different talk about the construction of a juggling show and this will be available in 2015.
